(2018) Johannes Kepler
Here's an illustrated tribute to astronomer Johannes Kepler (Dec 27, 1571 – Nov 15, 1630), for his 447th birthday, with a portrait of him within an elliptical composition inspired by his first law of planetary motion.
Kepler’s 3 laws of planetary motion laid down the foundation of modern astronomy. For an example, the law allowed astronomer Edmond Harley to precisely predict the periodicity of Harley’s comet, passing by Earth in every 76 years.
