The Warmth of a Snow Globe
The snow was warm, comfortable.
A friendly fawn folded on his left,
A toasty tyke embracing his right,
Frosty looked happily down in delight,
Black hat highlighted in holly.
A package of red, satin-ribboned and all,
Had been left by the bundled child
His heart leapt from the joy of the act.
Another gift, this one of soaring song,
A cardinal gave from its nestled, left-arm perch.
Ethereal and fleeting,
This present held equal value to him.
The boy reached for his scarf,
Striped jacket creaking as he hugged tighter,
Caring for the snowman with heart-melting affection.
