Fantastic Aspirations

Fantastic aspirations for myself

To see my name present upon the cover,

Standing there a-watching at the shelf,

Fame and riches are not why I hover.

Connection with an audience of souls

Drives me to place blackened ink on paper.

I feel as if one of my short life's goals

Should be to give more of myself than vapor.

I want to make a lasting, long impression,

To give as much as I have gladly taken.

Within duration of my earthly session,

I want to give to others motivation.

A love of language gladly will I share,

To give to others everything I dare.
