Runic Resemblance [AKA Ketysh!]

The voidspark crackled just beyond the tips of her fingers, leaving that distinct alchemical smell in the air. As far as cantrips go it was one of the more esoteric, more useful for working specific devices or scaring off the ignorant more than anything else, but the painter was right: it had a certain striking look to it. Was it vain to have a portrait done, even if it wasn't her idea? Still, it was nice to imagine how it might look, seeing it in a gallery...

I fiddled back and forth a while back for doing a reference for this furred kobold, but ultimately (for now) decided it didn't quite make sense for her. Her whole 'deal' is that she's not very consistent, leaning into AI's failure on that point, so hey let it be what it be. I've posted a few pics of her before here, but now for a little blurb!

Oh right, I was also doing some stylistic experience here, but I'll yammer a bit about that in the other one.

For those who care about this sort of thing, a little OC blurb:

Being crafted as an experimental wizard's familiar [or mad scientist's experiment, depending on the setting] may sound like a dramatic or tragic upbringing, but this particular hedge wizard [or scientist...] was more bumbling than maniacal. So much so, in fact, that beyond a quick crash course in current affairs she was more or less left to her own devices. After spending some time apprenticing for said creator she struck out on her own, using the more practical knowledge to take on odd jobs while taking in the sheer variety of what the world can offer.

As far as the experiment went, it was simultaneously a tremendous success and failure. Ketysh's body is inherently unstable in form, the ebb and flow of fur and scales shifting according to some unknown calendar and even her overall build -- height, weight, or more -- will occasionally change dramatically. She takes this all in stride, though maintaining such a wide range of potential wardrobe can pose challenges. Generally she's at least a portly zaftig, with red and tan furred body along with patches of dark scales.

A relative introvert who's learned to be self-sufficient, she still appreciates spending time with others both as a window into other other lives and cultures and simply to appreciate occasional company. Her true passions are epicurean bordering on hedonistic, seeking to experience the universe primarily through her stomach. Generally cheery disposition, or at the least puts on a brave face.
