I had to keep piling on the paint. One layer isn't enough.

thats interesting, thanks!

do you use liquid acrylic? Cause ones i have - too oily

Yes, I use Golden fluid acrylic plus a wet-palette. The wet palette is basically the best thing ever when it comes to acrylic. Keeps the paint nice and wet. I couldn't stand acrylic until I discovered it.

woooow!!! thanks a lot for advise!! i guess that an acrylic for the airbrushing? i never thought about using them for the painting with brush!

i love normal acrylic for it's covering but i hate it as well cause it's too viscous so it's hard to draw hair.

And i definately need to browse the web to find that wet palette!

Fluid acrylic is very versatile and can be used for both. It's my favorite painting medium now that I have a way to keep it wet. Yeah, normal acrylic is just way too thick and goopy for me. Some people love the texture, and putting down huge blobs of paint, but I don't at all! Fluid acrylic is perfect for individual hairs.

Morguefile? Should I be scared?

That aside, this has all the pretty~! What great color...does it look that vivid in real life too?

hahaha naaahhh 'morgue file' is just the word for a collection of references.

It looks pretty bright but I think it may have scanned a little more intense.

Okay cool. I was sitting here thinking there was some crazy hunter posting their kills or something out there. Well, it probably happens, but...yeah...let's not think about that!

Well, either way I like it~!

The term started out as being a collection of references in a police investigation. Morgue file, i.e. all of the information collected in the morgue and kept for records. It eventually came to entail all collections of references, including visual reference for artists. Hence the weirdly morbid name for a very innocuous thing.
