Literature Text

You wake up in the morning (really? No kidding?) to the normal white, spotless ceiling along with the rest of walls in your room. Sighing, you shift to look out of your wide window to your left to see a bit of the vast castle you lived in and darkness outside. Other than your window and a desk of drawers by your bed, there was not anything interesting about your room.

‘One day, I’ll get my heart back. I need to know what it’s like to experience joy and sadness one more time...’

Having a few nostalgic moments to yourself, you finally stood up and walked out of your room to get something to eat. Whilst you walked through corridors you had become so accustomed to, you tried to think about your past as a Somebody... Nothing. You could remember how you felt going through different emotions such as anger, happiness and jealousy; but you couldn’t remember any of your memories. You had a feeling that a few members of the Organization knew who you were before you lost your heart but when you asked, they ended up making an excuse to leave.

“Why?” you whispered to yourself.

“Why what?” a voice answered.

Your head snapped up in the direction of the sound and your eyes met Zexion’s. It was then you noticed that you were in the kitchen; you must have been so caught up in your thoughts that you did not realise how far you had walked.

“Oh,” you said, surprised. “I was just wondering why we’re doing all of this... All of these missions... I know it’s because we want our hearts back but do we really need to cause others so much trouble to get them.”

Zexion narrowed his eyes at you slightly as if he knew that wasn’t what you wanted to ask; but he decided to not probe into it.

“You know the answer to that,” Zexion sighed, leaning against a wall and taking a sip of whatever drink he had. “Heartless contain hearts stolen from other beings. We need to destroy them to release those hearts to form Kingdom Hearts, but it seems that only Keyblade Wielders can release those hearts properly. We have to get others involved, __. Besides we can’t do everything ourselves.”

“I guess...” you muttered, reaching into a cupboard for {favourite breakfast food}. “I hope we get our hearts back soon...”

Zexion finished his drink and put the mug down, walking over to you. He put a hand on your shoulder and made sure you were looking at him before speaking.

“Don’t worry, we will,” he then whispered in a softer tone. “I’ll make sure of that...”

He then walked past you but stopped at the door with his back still facing you, turning his head slightly, letting you see his one visible eye.

“Don’t forget, we have to go to meeting in 10 minutes.”

“Alright, thanks.”

Zexion gave a slight nod in reply and teleported. Eating your breakfast, you began to think again. ‘Where is everyone else? Meh, they’re probably doing something stupid or trying to stop the people who are doing something stupid.’ You then thought back to Zexion; he was like a brother and seemed to look out for you no matter what. You also had a feeling that he knew about your past but it didn’t seem like he was going to say anything anytime soon.

“Might as well make my way to the meeting,” you sighed.

You were about to teleport when a sharp pain ran through your head, causing you to flinch. At the same time, an image formed in your mind: two people in white lab coats, one significantly shorter than the other. Unfortunately, you could not see their faces so you could not identify them.

When the pain had gone and your vision returned to normal, you looked around, grimacing.
‘What was that just now?’ you thought, shaking your head. ‘I can’t dwell on that now, Xemnas will kill me if I don’t turn up.’
With that, you teleported away.
...
Suddenly feeling contact with your seat, you opened your eyes and saw the other members of the Organization at different heights in their seats, looking at you. It seemed that you were the last one to arrive.

“How nice it is of you to finally grace us with your presence, __.” Xemnas said in a somewhat sarcastic tone. “I was just about to send someone to fetch you.”

“I apologise, Superior,” you said. “I was just...  thinking. Time caught up with me.”

You squirmed in your seat slightly as Xemnas stared at you, calculative, with eyes that seemed to stare into your soul. An awkward silence filled the room as the others fidgeted around, wondering if they should do anything but soon enough, Xemnas began to talk to the rest of them about why they were there.

“According to Saix’s report, there may be someone else worthy of joining the Organization. It seems that he is the Nobody of that Keyblade Wielder...”

By this point, you were not paying attention as the same sharp pain decided to make its way back into your head. More images started to appear but they rushed past so quickly that you couldn’t comprehend anything about them. Shifting in your seat, you tried to not make it seem like you were in unbearable pain, but it just seemed to get worse. You tried focusing on what Xemnas was saying but you eyesight had decided to give up on you and everything became blurry.

You heard someone call your name, but you couldn't tell if it was from the images you were getting or what was happening in reality. More voices entered your head, all of them saying incomprehensible words as they jumbled up into a big mess. Holding a hand to your head, you tried to shake the voices out of your head despite how it obviously wouldn't work. You could not see anything now as you heard one familiar voice call out your name.

“__!”

You tried to think of who it was but your brain already had enough to deal with, making you become confused.

‘Who is this? Where am I? What’s going on?’ you thought.

Then, you slowly felt yourself leaning forward as the familiar voice got louder.

“__!”

‘What?’

The leaning then became falling. You had no idea how you were falling; as you tried to think, you began to lose consciousness.

‘Help...’

You decided to give in to the drowsiness that was washing over you. Nothing was making sense anyway. Just before you blacked out, every other voice suddenly stopped apart from the one familiar one.

“__!”
Something that suddenly came to me and I'm not exactly sure how it's going to work out. Hopefully this is an okay beginning!
To understand this story, you should have some knowledge about Kingdom Hearts. WARNING: There will probably be some OOCness due to my failure at staying in character.
I do not own Kingdom Hearts or you. XD
