Man Arms Part 2
I didn’t see Christine for a few days after that. I got a note in my school mailbox from her mother, excusing her for a few days for sickness. That seemed pretty odd to me, considering how she had seemed perfectly fine to me the first two days of school, and how she had sent me a video of her curling the back end of the car, but I shrugged it off and continued as if nothing had changed. It just seemed weird that someone who had super-genes would be knocked out of commission by a cold.
Regardless, I went about my days as normal. Classes were fine, I didn’t have to go out of my way to address her because she wasn’t participating, and I wasn’t worried about her lifting me off the ground and throwing me across the room if I accidentally upset her. At home, I did check her instagram frequently, but she hadn’t posted since the bicep video. I briefly considered messaging her but decided against it--it was a bad idea all around. Better to let it play out from her
