Preperations after Hearth's Warming Eve

My entry for Calpain's December Draw-Off Event.

I roughly wanted to do something with the 12 days of Christmas.
I quickly realised, during the four calling birds stage, that I would have to draw a lot of ponies in chicken costumes - which I was already bored of doing. I also realised that I was going to run out of noticeable background characters if I literaly drew out the later days like "12 lords a-leaping".

Can you tell what I included and what I missed out?

Minor rant:

<sup>This has to be the biggest thing I've worked on digitally. I learnt a fair amount, including mistakes to avoid for when I do something hugetastic again.

I am not pleased with the amount of shortcuts I've taken. I removed a boat load of details I had planned due to time contraints. I grossy under-estimated the amount of time this would take me.

I am pleased I stuck with it though. I may remedy the lack of detailing on the ponies by submitting them seperatly, at a later date - if I find the time and there is an interest.</sup>

Fun fact: It started snowing once I started the snow.
It hasn't snown since...
