I always like a character whose eyes cannot be seen. So much of behavior reading starts with looking at the eyes that denying the audience the ability to see a character's eyes gives that character an air of mystery and puts a lot of weight into the expression of whatever's left of the face. Although in the Soulsborne universe it doesn't stand out.
That's an interesting point about it not really standing out in the Soulsborne universe. Which I kinda feel is the case because most characters don't have facial animations so there's like, nothing to read there anyways lol.
