Forest Fire with Wolf

First of all, that is not the real title, but one I have given this painting until I can come up with something.

This painting is actually a few years old and it was made for a visual arts project in high school. The project challenged the students to create a surreal painting, making use of painting in layers and various painting techniques with props. This painting was created by me to liberally depict a forest fire scene with the victim (and center of visual interest) being a lonely wolf. Naturally, the painting is critical of human development, with the wolf being a central symbol of the wilderness, sillouetted against the threatening fires of humanity.

The school hung it in their office and my art teacher (and other students) wanted to buy it from me. I did not really feel like parting with it so I kept it...I never knew how much they were willing to offer me.

Anyways, this is one of the few decent attempts at traditional art by me.
