Norwich circa 1647

An unused illustration of the events circa 1647 in and around Norwich… The actual brief that I received was “English Civil War, Norwich… something happened?”… It turns out very little happened, hence the illustration… the canon was pretty much made up, loosely based on a couple the castle used to exhibit… plus the cannons various tools are far too small for such a big gun… but I always liked the figure of the gunner… maybe I'll go back to this image someday and do a better job on that bloody cannon...
