There's feathers on these rexes but consist of a very short downy covering down the back.

The actual study does not rule out feathers completely however. Just that it was mostly scaly.

A turkey, huh? Now try to imagine yourself in the Cretaceous Period. You get your first look at this "giant fucking turkey" as you enter a clearing. He moves like a bird, lightly, bobbing his head. And you keep still because you think that maybe his visual acuity is based on movement like you have seen in the one movie; he'll lose you if you don't move. But no, not Tyrannosaurus. You stare at him…and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side. From the other two Tyrannosaurs…you didn't even know were there. Because the big one is a parent, you see, and his offspring is out in force today. For the him you are a little snack at best, not worth chasing after, but for his offspring you are the perfect size. And boy, is your dead going to be nasty...So show some respect, okay.

Other things:
1. Tyrannosaur feathers are more like those of Ratites like the Cassowary ( you know, that big one with the sickle claw living down under )
2. A turkey that size would be terrifyng and would likely consider you food.
3. So in your opinion big cats and bears are not scary because they are fluffy?

Then remember that Humans drove most of the megafauna to extinction. we aren't imbeciles and certainly not if a modern human visiting that period, because somebody visiting that time period through time travel will certainly be carrying firearms and huge amount of ordinance, and if that beast lived during human times, we would have hunted it like any other megafauna.

Anything is terrifying if we are scared, even a small spider.

Look mate, if you believe in the old feathered turkey, go ahead, i won't stop you, but the evidence is there, there are no feathers as of current evidence.

Bobbling head, turkey looking giant bird, they turned T-rex into a joke, Thank Ymir it's gone for the time being.

Hail To The Tyrant Lizard King Baby

You totally missed the Jurassic Park reference, didn't you?

Well, with a giant turkey you would have reason to be terrified. Depending on the spider, you should be afraid of that one, too.

There is however no difference for it being completely featherless either. Just that Tyrannosaurs reduced the amount of feathers during their evolution. The actual paper also does not completely rule out feathers.

Tyrannosaurus is still more of a bird than a lizard, no matter how many imaginary friends you pray to. A big bird-like beast with a bonecrushing jaw full of teeth. So yeah, expect bird-like movements. What it is covered with does not change it. The amount of head bobbing also varies from bird to bird.
