Well it's been a while, but I finally got around to posting something. As always, this scene is a combination of things I've had and have wanted to use for a while: the outfit, the building in the background, the ground (Terradome 3) and probably a few other things I'm forgetting to mention.
Anyway, the basic idea of this scene was a ranger who lives in an outpost in the woods just sitting and taking in the scenery of his home. Like I said, I used Terradome which is making up the ground and the hills as well as providing the atmospheric effects, like the fog and the lighting. The scenery is pretty much par for the course from me, general forest setting with lots of trees and vegetation; essentially a mostly green color palette. The character I tried to make look rugged and well-suited for this lifestyle. So basically in my mind that meant giving him an older looking face and a beard. The outfit, including the equipment like the arrows and the sword, are all part of the same set called Wildenlander Watch. I really like the outfit and have wanted to use it for a while. Not much more to say on this scene really. Like i said, pretty much par for the course.
As for the Photoshop side, the biggest thing I did was add the dust/dirty camera lens effect. I got the effect
here so I have to thank

for that. I think it worked nicely and it was an effect I knew I wanted from the start of making this scene. Other than that, the usual color/lighting enhancements were the only other things I did.
