1: The wise-cracking narrator. #1 source of entertainment! Even better if it gets the main character to break the forth wall and argue with them on rare occasion.

2: Played almost all of them. Worst/cheapest for me was the stupid spiral staircase in King's Quest 4: Perils of Rosella. I fell down that stupid old staircase at least 20 times before getting any further through the game. (link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZc_Y7… ) The staircase that is at 1:48 is the one if you know the game I'm talking about.

3: Simple deaths, mostly. By simple, I mean ones you see coming from a mile away, and you are given warnings, yet die to them anyways.  Drowning, dying to the elements (cold/heat.) Death by foreign objects (such as a magical book/unknown technology) can add a wonderment and fear of the unknown.  A few deaths out of left field that can help for cheap laughs (ex: The rhino trampled death in Quest for Glory 3 puns.) In the MLP world, I would like deaths that match the mood of the game as it progresses. You could start out with silly ones, and then progress to more serious ones as the game raises the stakes as you progress. Some really creepy everfree forest ones wouldn't hurt either. *mumble* *mumble* *story of the blanks!* *cough-cough!* *mumble*

1.The fact that it is based all on wht you do and what you  can do to your surroundings, makes the game even more fun to play.

2.What are Sierra games? so I don't know a cheapest death(mainly since I haven't played the game yet.

3.What I expect is either you die or something blocks your path or ability to continue on the rest of the game. And as for mlp deaths, lots of blood and gore descriptions up to the pont you never look at certainthings ever again. PERFECT EXAMPLE: THE UNDERWORLD CELLO SARRING OCTAVIA

1. I love the environment, the backstory and the characters. I like clicking around to explore and find useful items.
I hate when adventure games just shove you into the universe without any knowledge about it and still expect you to know what's going on and what to do. In the King's Quest games, I had no idea where to go to get things, and that made it really hard to focus. At least put some clues in the books from the huge town library! Sometimes there aren't clear answers in real life but still, it shouldn't be near impossible to figure things out (like in King's Quest 7. I hated that one. There was next to no help when figuring out what to do, and puzzle solutions were sometimes completely ridiculous).

2. The cheapest death is running out of time, getting eaten by something because you couldn't run, or accidentally using an item and then dying because you needed it later to fight some monster.

3. I expect maybe getting killed by enemies in adventure games and that's it, mostly.
In the MLP universe....the series wouldn't have ponies die violently. I'd probably expect being captured (then being able to escape...or not, if it was a game over), immobilized for a period of time (probably game over), or transported to another time period (not necessarily game over).

Also I like effort put into music in adventure games, and sound effects.

Love - Almost everything, especially the story

Hate - Bad voice acting (I'm looking at YOU Cedric from King's Quest V...) , and mostly the stupidest things like having to revert to the previous 5 saves because of point-of-no-return hidden things that will only become useful soooo late game, that you wouldn't even think about it.

Cheapest death : I can only faintly remember an old Win3x sierra game with a huge spider on the first screen and you get bitten if you don't click the only 2 pixels on the sides of the screen that transitions (AND a 2 hour time limit to boot)

Expectations : None really.

Love: Almost everything.
Hate: "Moon Logic" puzzles- that puzzle that's completely non-intuitive, where there's no indication whatsoever that the solution is what it is.

Sierra: The cheapest deaths were the ones owed to one's own stupidity, usually done by way of Schmuck Bait. (Drinking the Dragon's Breath in the first Quest For Glory, licking the forcefield post in Space Quest 4.) They were also frequently the most hilarious of the lot, since you could laugh at it even if it was frustrating.

I'd expect a lot of odd deaths, particularly in the MLP verse where violence and death aren't as common as they are in other universes.

Not common, but still present. Still, it will be natural death traps that will get you.

love-> almost everything.
hate-> pixel searching, when something is badly drawn and it takes much time to figure out that the clickable object is even in the picture. Using idiotic combinations of items to get the simplest tasks. Having to go through 1963760 pictures to get some item, then get back to use it. Also, randomness in advancing in game. Like, talk to a guy till u use up every possible dialogue, do 3-4 things not related to him, then you have to forsee that it might have triggered some new dialogue options, or ways to use the guy, completely not logical.
Sierra-> only SWAT4 but it's not an adventure game XDDD

Kinds of deaths from adventure games-> gory. Very gory XD
In MLP-> not gory XD if Alicorns-> no death at all, out of character. But well, characters being a bit off was always plausible

1.point and click adventure games give you freedom to look at everything and match them up with other things you found before, umm, to sum that up i like it because of the freedom that youre given to play the game. And it makes you think and you get proud of yourself when you find out something.

2. Not much, just those ridiculously tough situations or parts where you forgot to grab something and the games screwed after that.

3. i did one false keystroke and fell to my death

4. umm probably eaten by some mythical creature, die in everfree, accidents. Stuff like that. But I'd like to see the game progress through storylines that range from horror to lovely dovely depending on your actions and where you go but still ending up in an ultimate final ending.

1. the scenery within the game. Long endless question or speach like in ''The longest journey'' where the you can keep talking and talking with the main villan where he appears.

2. I only played longest journey, where you could NEVER die. Sorreh.

3. oooh what kinda deaths. Well steping in bear traps enchated in poison, being eaten alive, crused by a huge bulder, falling down a cliff, being ripped apart by monsters... Anything else? Oh yes the simple dead, Drowning in water.

4. MLP universe, I know shit thats all by far nor do I care about the universe.

Hope this sums up your thoughs. May I ask you WHY you are asking us of such... question?

mmmmh im that good. You should use some trap wire traps which triggers by touch either exploding on you or making a avalance and have bulders crush you to death.

( yeah, a bit burtal however I like brutal deaths... Traps what swing iron doors at your face or spikes coming out of wall. and my personal favorit trap on skyrim, pulling the wrong lever and it rains arrows on you)

1. The challenge. I believe games should be medium-hard.

2. No games I can remember.

3. Probably getting gored by a werewolf(two legged wolf with arms)

A werewolf in Equestria would imply that there are humans...

Well there's minotaurs. Half man, half bull. Besides, in Equestria, werewolves don't HAVE to be human. They only have to be bipedal wolves with clawed hands.

Well, yes. And that is one of her destinations...

But aren't minotaurs sentient? It was demonstrated as such with Iron Will...

Also, werewolves are...No that's really not going to work.

Timber wolves? Maybe but not werewolves...

There aren't any snowy places.

Too bad because a joke on King's Quest V's pie on yeti would be funny.

Q: What do you love about point-and-click adventure games?
A: Exploring a vast environment. As well as hearing the narrator mock you for all the stupid mistakes you make.

Q: What do you hate about them?
A: Getting the game into an unbeatable situation.

Q: If You played Sierra games in the past, what was the cheapest death to you?
A: Climbing up or down something/walking through a narrow path and end up falling to your death because you didn't click on a SPECIFIC spot.

Q (part 1):What kind of deaths do you expect from an adventure game?
A: I guess using an item on a particular something, only for it to backfire and have that item kill you instead. (it depends on the item)

Q (part 2):How about in the MLP universe?
A: More cartoony kind of deaths to fit the atmosphere. But of course, it would also depend on the situation.

Q (revised): What kind of deaths do you expect from an adventure game? How about in the MLP universe?
A: I guess being kidnapped by diamond dogs and being forced to become their slaves forever.

What do I hate about Point-n-Clicks? Chance of instant death is HIGH. Chance of bad ending ALSO HIGH. Chance of not know wtf to do HIGH BUT NOT AS HIGH AS INSTANT DEATH.

Nope, can't say I've played Sierra games. But I've played Myst, where you only die in the endings.

Deaths from adventure games? Grue. In MLP universe? Grue OR Zalgo Pinkie Pie.
