Jurassic World: Metriacanthosaurus by HellraptorStudios Jurassic World: Metriacanthosaurus by HellraptorStudios
Metricanthosaurus= moderate spined lizard
Codename: Cresthead
Diet:carnivore
Lenght:6-8 m
Height:2 m
Wheight:1 ton
Mid-jurassic, 171-164 mya
Area:England

This carnivore is both fast and dangerous, it killed one keeper at Isla Sorna when they relased a adult specimen inside its pen. Metricacanthosaurus has a unsually thick hide witch make them hard to sedate since the tranquilizer dart can get true, possible reason its thick skin must be  for protection when fighting other dinosaurs. It was never moved to the park and only remained in embryo storage.

Metriacanthosaurus were cloned again for Jurassic World and may have been based on the original clones created at the end of 1980´s. They could be found in the Cretaceous Cruise, living alongside both herbivorous dinosaurs and the two theropods Baryonyx and Suchomimius. Its possible that they have been either genetically altered to be less dangerous since visitors would be able to canoe near them without being attacked. Metriacanthosaurus were eventually moved into a more secure perimeter area within the tour since one of them had been to close to one visitor.  This species were not involved during the park incident in 2015. Their current status is unknown.

Dangerous, aggressive

Metriacanthosaurus is extinct on Isla Nublar, possibly still live on Sorna.

Possibly still alive on Sorna, nope, almost no dinosaurs on Sorna unfortunately, for some reason the film makers decided this was a good idea.

This one is actually Canon in the Jurassic park series. But why did you write non-Canon? Is it because of the JW coloration?

To be honest I don't mind the website that much, because we saw the Parasaurolophus in JW and they've looked like the ones in TLW. In the website, they're looking totally different. That's why this Metriacanthosaurus (Alongside with Baryonyx and Suchomimus) illustration is more "JP accurate", than the ones we saw in the website. My two cents.

You did a good job Hellraptor!

In your Jurassic Park series, does the Isla Sorna facility still works or they are cloning the Dinosaurs in a facility at Isla Nublar?

I have a question, why do you gave it, pronated hands? It doesn't have zombie hands in the site after all. Same for the Baryonyx and the Suchomimus.

Because i dont belive its gonna show up in the movie and if it does, it wont look that accurate like they do on the site. So i went for a more Jp-ish look.

In fact in the movies, theropods have human-like wrist...

Plus it could just be the Suchomimus, Baryonyx, and Metriacanthosaurus were supinating their wrists, but could easily pronate too. After all it's not the first time a JP theropod has supinated its wrists, for instance when Charlie the Velociraptor was circling around Chris Pratt, her wrists were supinated at that moment, but later pronated again.

I saw the name of this dinosaur in "Jurassic Park" but I've always wondered what they looked like and if they were herbivores or carnivores. Now I know.
