George and I floated back to the surface. The feast was over and they send us away. The spell that allowed us to breathe underwater would be lifted once we reached the surface again. The light from the surface got brighter and the water got warmer. We reached the surface and the warm air blew in our faces. I looked around and saw my pile of clothes lying in the same place. I swam towards the land and George followed me. We climbed out of the water and George ran away from me.
‘Where are you going?!’ I yelled after him.
He didn’t reply. I gathered my things and put on my shirt. I would keep those shorts on. I put my pants in my bag and put my dagger in between my belt and short. It hung there on my side, ready to be taken out if there was anything threatening going on. I looked back at the lake and saw George there by the lake. He had put on a shirt as well. He had also gone for a swim earlier, but he had kept his boxers on. I ran towards him.
