This is a city that was chosen as the provisional capital city of Yemen, a country tarnished by war, famine, poverty, unemployment, corruption, disease and death, a country in desperate need for humanitarian aid, a country one could call “Hell on Earth”. Yet despite all the chaos that plunged the country, there are always moments of joy and celebration that spring up, which although rare, offer it’s citizens a way to forget about some of their problems, as well as giving them some hope for a better future. It was precisely in the most famous indoor arena of this city that it was decided to hold this year's edition of the Ms. Yemeni contest, considered the most significant Women’s Bodybuilding title in Yemen.
