He’s a bit old fashioned and tends to act like a guardian at most times: a fun brother, or even a fussy mom figure. Despite his hardened expression, Levi is a caring and gentle soul. He worries for Vee like a little sister and truly wishes for her, and other friends’, happiness. He'll do what he can to comfort and be there for someone dear, even if it's small unnoticeable gestures. Leviathan may be caring but it's difficult for him to gather his courage to actually do anything impactful.

He isn’t the best person to express such affections because Levi is evasive towards emotional situations. He can be skeptical, especially of his own actions, because he is selfish-- particularly for his own self preservation. After years of unending turmoil, he's begun to realize importance for himself, not just humans or the goddess, although his faith is still strong. He doesn't believe in himself to make any significant changes towards the fight with Maeroshas so Levi tends to think that it's for the better that he leaves the entire chaos to his other fellow Empyreals. His paranoia causes him to be flakey and distant but it lends to his humble demeanor. There's a certain calmness in his behavior, evident in his rapid mental aging.

He’s not particularly arrogant and doesn't enjoy being the center of attention. Disliking unneeded and shallow compliments, Levi tends to be lazy and unambitious in terms of action. Expectations feel like burdens that he'd rather not deal with because he is truly tired and just wants to live in harmony.

• Biography:

“Have you ever heard of what lies deep down in the ocean?”

Unbeknownst to most, thousands of feet under the surface, there was a water shrine where a lone sea serpent resided -- his name: Leviathan.

Things weren’t always like this though. Before the curse had happened, Leviathan has enjoyed life to his full, with friends and found family but such happy times quickly came to an end. Slowly, Empyreals began disappearing in the eyes of humans and the beloved goddess had grown sad with the separation of the Aevumis. Levi vowed to do his best to return them to her, to restore the harmony they once had.

He had fought alongside another but years had swept those memories under a rug. The promise to reunite the goddess with her beloved Aevumis had stayed a strong vision in his early days. He sought partner after partner as centuries flew by but the war against the Maeros was constant and endless. Leviathan slowly began to doubt his own contribution to the goddess. He grew tired of having to repeat the constant path of fighting and war, only to end up losing another person he cared dearly for. The thoughts of conflict, fighting, death-- they were all too much for him to bear. He never saw the light at the end of the tunnel and finally gave up all together. Leviathan then swore to never interfere with the balance of life again and cast himself into the waters nearby the goddess’s land, trying to live unbothered and in peace.

However, as much as he wanted his own privacy, there wasn’t much for him to do down there. He constructed a small shrine in an underwater cave he found, using it both as a place for shelter and a place to ask the goddess for forgiveness, as he couldn’t uphold the promise the Empyreals had constructed. His heart was heavy but he was unable to muster the courage, or confidence, to protect anyone again. Leviathan’s powers grew weak as he grew dormant.

One day, the red head decided to go out for a swim, only to encounter a sunken ship. His curiosity was overwhelming and the boat was practically calling out to him, since the man had little to do underwater-- anything would alleviate his boredom. Levi took a quick glance inside.

Masses of golden trinkets and ship-wrecked furniture had sunken through the compartments of the large boat but nothing had interested him until he laid his eyes upon a photo of humans. Oh how he missed them. Their hearts and individualities, their delicate features, their passions and achievements despite their short lives.

He returned to his cave but the thought of what he saw that day dwelled in his mind, tugging on the deep desires he had to return to the surface; and so he did. Leviathan cautiously swam up to the surface and noticed a young girl wandering around the beach shore. He hid behind a rock, as to not startle her, just watching over her actions. The girl’s expression seemed indifferent at first but the little actions and slight changes in expression had piqued his interest--he let out a chuckle.

Soon the girl noticed him and tread through the water until it went up her waist. “... Hello?”

Leviathan slinked back into the ocean at the prospect of being found, but the girl stood still as if she was waiting for him to voluntarily show himself.

“Umm.. my name is Vee. I just got here, past those gates.... Are you lost too?”

He stared at her for quite a while until the sea serpent sighed and gave into her clueless innocence. “No, but I can take you.” Maybe it was time for him to let go of his past skeptics; maybe this time, things would change.
