I love to create. I dont care what with by sometimes the urge to create something overwhelms me. Currently I am working with lots of acrylics but I also love watercolors and pens. I am exploring the world of digital art and I am in love with it. I like to do anything with my hands from building onto my craft cabin to creating jewelry. I also love to write.
My art is created with love and guessing. I dont have any formal traing but I do like to experiment and see what happens. I get my ideas from my wonderful boys, the nature around me and other artist. I am HAPPY!

I can't believe it

Today I sold 2 pieces of artwork on Ebay and a third piece has been bid on. I just can't believe. How cool is that. I mean that I can believe that people would like my work it just so exciting that peices have sold. It was just and idea my mom gave me to post them and it worked. I am feeling so flattered. My work is going to be in the home of strangers. I don't know why having strangers buy my work is so validating but it is. Pretty cool.

The image in my head

I live in Washington State and every year we have this huge Tulip Festival in Mt Vernon and it is color as fas as the eye can see. It is so beautiful that it looks like all the colors of a rainbow are splashed across the earth. It inspires beautiful images so I try to create my version of the tulip fields today. The first painting I did had the perspective a little off but the second one I really love. I don't usually try to paint from something real so its always nice when an new idea works out.

The pleasure of a blank canvas

I am not sure how other people get there ideas but a lot of mine come from looking at a blank canvas and waiting for something to pop in my head. Yesterday I went a got 7 different sizes to work on. I would really like to work on something huge but I haven't got the nerve up to paint on a canvas that is really expensive. I would love to learn to make my own this year so that is one thing I will be doing. The blank canvas is calling to me so I will share what gets created next.
