The Windmill

There are places that stay with you long after you've left them.

This photo was taken in Świnoujście, on the Polish Baltic coast, where the iconic windmill stands quietly at the end of the breakwater—watching over the sea, the ships, and every sunset that paints the horizon.

For me, this image feels like "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz playing through old headphones on a warm summer afternoon. It's that strange mix of freedom, nostalgia, salty air, and the feeling that time can slow down for just a little while.

Windmills have always fascinated me. They symbolize movement, resilience, and finding energy even when the world seems still. Standing against the endless sea, this one feels like a reminder that every journey begins with a change in the wind.

The Polish seaside has a unique atmosphere—less tropical, perhaps, but honest, peaceful, and full of quiet beauty. Waves, seagulls, the scent of the sea, and long walks with no destination.
