I think that it is important to state for the record, my thoughts and views on religion. I hope that I can edit the living hell out of this later. I'm not feeling so tactful and well versed right now. I've never really written it down anywhere, and I haven't ever gone in too much detail about it. I know there are several things that I don't like about most religions, but then there are some things that I do like. So I kind of stitched together something for myself. Something that I think feels right and is good to live by. There are several rules and ideas out there that are good to have.
I don't believe that there is a god, deity, maker or man in the sky. I'm certain that any religion out there following an omniscient whatever is an attempt to control a population in some way. Not that masses of people don't need control of some sort. Or some watchful eye to let them know that if they break the rules that there will be consequences.
I just think that the idea of an omniscient being is set in place by religions to serve as surveillance for the masses in order to set a common law. With a common law of the land, it ensures a better survival rate. Because without law, there is not much peace? Something like that. In short, I think that religion is a technique or strategy for human survival. With a reason and why; people have a better sense of direction and can avoid the pitfalls of evil and disarray.
Religion answers questions for everyone seeking answers. I think that the majority of people out there need to have answers in order to function soundly. I don't need the answers though. Does that make me short sighted or unconcerned about the future? I don't really care where we've come from or what happens to use after we die. Who knows for certain what happens to use after we die? I don't trust anyone to relay accurately what is really true. To believe in a religion is to have strong faith in people. People are the most flawed creatures on Earth. I barley trust them with my life and I wouldn't trust them with bigger mysterious than life itself.
I must add more later..... Books a million is closing
