Legend of the Guardians of Xadia: Prologue

Legend tells of a band of noble warriors, known as the Guardians of Xadia. A noble order led by a king or queen of the dragons, who arose in the old times, back when there were only the six primal sources of magic. The Sun. The Moon. The Stars. The Earth. The Sky. And the Ocean. Whenever trouble is in hand, seek them out, for they are sworn to protect Xadia and all who live in it. Under their protection, the residents of Xadia lived together in harmony. Safe and guarded from both Xadian-born threats and humans who were banished to the west as punishment for the development of Dark Magic by a human mage, for it uses the essence within magical creatures themselves to unleash dark power. Dark power with devastating consequences. And thus the continent is divided into two. In the east, the magical lands of Xadia. And in the west, the human kingdoms. For centuries, the king of the dragons and leader of the Guardians himself, Avizandum, defended the border. The humans called him "Thunder"

The Sins of the fathers a Dragon prince story ch 1It had been a year since Rayla had left Callum. She was going to find Viren and put an end to this madness. She had walked all day in fact she had been doing this for a while. But however she couldn't find anything and she was beginning to think that maybe what she was doing was a mistake, because recently she began to feel guilty about leaving Callum and especially since the fact that she left on his 15th birthday. Rayla began to wonder if she went to back to Callum would he even want her back? Would he even trust her again? Needless to say she was running out of options. Maybe Callum was right Viren truly was dead. So that evening Rayla made a decision she would go back to Katolis and reunite with Callum. But what would become of their reunification? Rayla got her answer when she saw Pip the magical bird that belonged to Callum's stepfather Harrow. On Pip was a message it was from Callum it read "Rayla i know things are difficult now and i know you left me but i forgive you. I know that you only want to protect me, But what you did was foolish i should've gone with you. But i can sense that you're not perfect and i love you for that. You're smart, loving and beautiful you're the best girl i know please come back we'll work this out Love, Callum."Rayla blushed she always loved his compliments at least he forgave her. Rayla made a stop for the night and she was about to go to sleep. But then she heard a twig snap"Who's there?" Rayla said. No answer after bracing herself for 3 minutes nothing came. So she decided to go to sleep. But suddenly.(Gun cocks) Rayla could feel something on the back of her head followed by a voice "Stand up and turn around."Rayla didn't know what was going on but she could tell that she was in a life or death situation so she did what the person told her to. She looked and then she spotted him. It was a human. But it didn't look like any human Rayla ever saw. The man was wearing brown boots, a camouflaged uniform, a flack jacket, and wearing black glasses. The man was also blonde with blue eyes and he was tall almost 6'5 and appeared to be very well built. The last thing rayla noticed about this man was that he had a patch on his shoulder it appeared to be of stars and stripes.Rayla asked "Who are you"The man replied. "I'm someone who will do anything for my people."Rayla sighed with disgust she had already met plenty of humans who said stuff like that and weren't good people especially Viren and Claudia. But from what she was taught never jump to conclusions so she kept asking questions."Why are you here?"The man responded " I'm here to serve justice after what your people did to mine."Rayla replied with a raised voice "What have we ever done to you? In fact you've done everything to us."The man then became agitated he grabbed Rayla's arm he said "Listen here young lady unfortunately there are a lot of things the other elves and dragons don't tell you in fact what if i told you that there are crimes against humanity on their hands as well?"Rayla replied " What do you mean?The man put his weapon back in his holster, then he used his hands and grabbed Rayla's Forehead and shoulder Rayla then braced herself as the man's eyes glowed it's then that Rayla saw a vision. it was a city not made of wood but of metal. She then saw humans running for their lived. "What are they running from?" She thought. But she then looked in horror as she saw what what they were running from they were elves an dragons. They were brutally beating and killing the other humans and even making the children watch. "This can't be true." Rayla said "Oh but it is true you see these were the many crimes commited by your people on the many countries of my world."Rayla began to cry."But there is a way you can redeem yourself from this." "What's that?""You are going to tell the people of Katolis that me and my soldiers are coming."Rayla asked "But who should i tell who's coming?"The man said one thing "Tell them John Steiner sends his regards."The man then punched Rayla in the face knocking her out.Rayla then heard someone calling her name over and over again. She opened her eyes it was Callum."Rayla thank goodness you're okay." Callum then kissed her. A deep embrace. Rayla was happy to be with callum again. But then much to Callum's surprise Rayla cried."There there it's going be okay Rayla. I forgive you.""No that's it at all.""What do you mean? ""I was terrified he was there ""Who was there?""John Steiner he's coming.""Who's John Steiner?"Rayla replied "You'll see."TO BE CONTINUED
