Chalk And Cheese

well here’s a first out of a few from a couple months ago~
thank you to the lovelies who watched me stream this and struggle with Scar's face, I appreciated the company more than you know!

I think the title sums this piece up, despite being related by blood the brothers are worlds apart no matter how hard they've tried to dispell whatever makes them clash heads so often. their lives weren't always filled with one sided attempts to be civil and get along, or brief interactions filled with snide comments. at some point in time, despite continuing with his efforts, Mufasa has to make peace with the fact that his brother is no longer the close friend he once knew. he can't and will never quite understand what went wrong to turn his beloved younger brother into such a spiteful and stubborn man. these kind of questions keep the King up at night, was he partially to blame for Scar's decent into madness, cruelty and malicious acts? what more could he have done to prevent turning the beloved prince into a cold, calculating and manipulative monster?
