Quantum Things
You know, deep down where
your thoughts get all quiet,
almost like a star fizzling out,
these little ideas pop up.
Like, phantom quantum things.
Or spins you can't quite see.
Even heartbeats sending out
weird, silent messages.
But you can't hide forever, right?
Those tiny, shimmery bits inside
your cells, microtubules they call
'em, they just… disappear. They
get soaked up by the good old
warmth of your body.
Those fancy Posner symbols,
meant to show everything's
connected, poof, gone into
plain old chemical reactions.
Even those MRI scans,
flashing and beeping, they
just fade into the blood and
all the messiness.
It's a real dark patch, isn't it?
Because even if there are these
wild quantum fires burning in
your brain, they still won't tell
you why you see red, or why that
old memory hurts so much, or
Why it's just… amazing to be alive.
Consciousness feels like a tear in
everything, a big old rip in the
universe's fabric. And these
quantum
