WHAT/WHY:
A major project created in this semester's audiovisual media course. 2 (Two) is a collection of 4 horror shorts. Each episode is based on a 2 sentence horror story found in a reddit thread (see:  redd.it/1iwylh )

HOW:
In order to translate the minimalistic style of the stories into a film I had to tweak the way a film usually works. For example there is no classic 3 act structure here but rather a continous climax which is abruptly ended by a n escalation. Just like in the stories this escalation is not explicitly shown but rather suggestive. Also there is no dialog at all and only in very selected scenes you wil find any originally recorded audio. Although the film's content content works independently from each other they are still part of the same idea and have the same goal. That is why I deided to use the same musical theme for all of them.

CONCLUSION:
All in all I can just say that a lot of effort went into creating this flick and I learned a quite a lot. If you are into videography yourself you'll probably notice the difference in overall quality between the first two and the last two episodes ;-)
It was a great experience working in this particular genre and especially with such a reliable crew.

Congratulations. You actually got me to "freak out" alittle bit and that's not an easy task to do...

One thing though... Shouldn't that last girl in the pink be screaming her lungs out? That hand in front her Cam Shot was the part that really freaked me out :)

thank you very much. Always nice to see that the video provokes emotions ^^

Well, yea it might've worked better with a scream but I decided not to make her scream for several reasons.
Mostly because it wouldn't at all fit in with the other segments. They are all silent. In fact the sound design relies heavily on music in generall and does not contain much of the original audio simply because I feel that the atmosphere is much denser and unsettling this way. Another reason was the circumstances durign the filming of this scene. We were shooting on a wednesday night in a private suburban backyard. We were lucky enough to get the location so we didn't want to cause any trouble with the neighbours ;-)

Oh yes, this is my favorite shot, too ^^

You know you could incorporate a screaming sound into the Music right??
She could have portrayed herself silently screaming if you didn't want to add it into the music... That way you can see an expression of fear... Cringing up her face more like if she was scared to death or even adding tears to the expression (without the scream), would have worked fine to and still fit into the Silence Filming you wanted...

Her expression was more like... eww, get away from me kinda look... o.o

Granted her expression was not ideal...

Of course there is always an alternative and/or workaround but nevertheless I made a decision and I like the result ^^
