It was really romantic. They choose to use an earthly ritual to represent their feelings for each other and to share it with those they care about.
It is rather funny how they decided to switch their gender appropriate outfits to the opposite one of what they would usually wear.

I'd rather not go into the whole discussion about wether it was or wasn't gay, holy or unholy. What matters is the bond of trust and love.

You are entitled to have them, but don't expect people to follow them when you are in a place that clearly loves to celebrate a different believe.
If you believe we will go to hell for it, then please let us choose to go to the place that is hell for you as it may very well be a heaven for us.
Like me, you don't know what will happen after we die. We can only hope for what we feel is best for us. Don't be an unwanted self-proclaimed hero.
