Build: Stocky, well-muscled, and relatively compact in frame. She has a proportioned body, with strong limbs and a naturally very long, silky mane & tail. Her eyes are big and bright, with fine, mobile ears, and a delicate, feminine muzzle. Her type is vaguely reminiscent of a classical Lipizzaner from the 15th century. She’s curvy and a touch heavier boned that one would perhaps expect a mare to be, but she’s also very muscular and fit. She has much more fluidity and smoothness to her features and gaits than a traditional baroque type, with a lady-like face.

Temperament: A cool and collected lady, there’s not a whole lot that fazes her. She’s sharp as a tack and has shown a level of almost human-like intelligence at times. Her trainer fondly speaks to her as if they’re having a two-way conversation, because she genuinely seems to understand most things far better than your average horse. She’s bombproof, extremely safe in any environment for any level rider/handler, but she’s also very sensitive and requires minimal pressure or cues to ride and handle. You could easily lead her around without a halter or rope, and she would pleasantly follow you like a loyal dog. With children, she’s remarkably tolerant and won’t make any sudden movements.
Bio: Bred by an American color breeder who imported straws from prized homozygous European bloodstock, she was eventually sold as a yearling when the breeder went bankrupt. She then wound up in the hands of an old cowboy who – thinking she was a rather stocky Appaloosa – attempted to train her in reining, which she had a natural knack for. The mare was eventually sold off for a pretty penny for a highly competitive young rider to campaign. But, during the vetting, when she was scanned for a microchip, they discovered her full pedigree, and contacted Casper for further information, since he owned her sire. It was at this point that Casper got wind that Willow even existed, and he promptly offered to overpay for the horse, if he could simply bring her into his breeding program. The cowboy accepted, and she has since been in training and competing successfully under the tactful hand of one of Casper’s American friends.
