His high energy level makes him an excellent endurance and cross country horse though.

Personality: Maethor inherited more of his dame's personality. It differs, however, that his aggression is held in and he is very often found brooding by himself. A loner, he tends to keep to himself, but has a unbreakable bond with his half-sister, Alqualondë. He also has a strong relationship with Hathien, not paying much heed to the rest of the staff. Sometimes downright disrespectful he's known to turn his butt to you if he doesn't want to work...something the staff will have to work on.

Personality: Gun is not the smartest of horses, but what he lacks in wit, he makes up for with whole-hearted dedication. He is one of the most steadfast horses one could ever sit on and he proves his worth time and time again in the show ring as an excellent reiner. Although he learns slowly he has a great memory, and retains what he has learned. The good thing about his lack of IQ is that he doesn't react when something jumps out of the blue at him. This also contributes greatly to his natural cow sense and he is very at home cutting one of the beasts from their herd.

Personality: Diesel is an extremely friendly horse, almost to the point of being nosy at times. He loves searching pockets for peppermints and doesn't easily give up if he knows one is there. He's also quite smart, learning things quickly, but knowing how to get out of working if his rider will let him. He needs a takes-no-nonsense rider with a soft hand and responds mostly to leg and seat cues. When ridden correctly he engages his hindquarters beautifully and drops his head to reveal a lovely topline. One of his best stable buddies is Gun, who he frequently plays with across his paddock fence.

Personality: Rome is...a handful to say the least. He's a complete show-off, and when he does show off he has little to no heed for the rider on his back. Restraining him is possible, but a challenge, since he's such a large, athletic and sturdy stallion. He tends to buck if he's not warmed up properly before being ridden and he breaths loudly when he is worked. He happens to hate males, considering them a challenge, even if they're of the human race. That said, he stays in a paddock alone so that he won't scuff himself up. Rome loves to taunt the other stallions from across his fence, though. When he sees someone heading out to his pasture with a halter in their hand he books it for the opposite side of the field...which is something the staff will have to work on. But, behind all of these quirks and vices is an extremely athletic stallion that does his job well and enthusiastically. He has beautiful floating gaits and his extensions are out of this world. He also has the stamina and strength to be an amazing show jumper and cross country mount, which in turn makes him a five-star eventer.

Personality: Cessair really does believe he's a god in horse form. He's a natural born leader, choosing to do what he likes in a typical stallion-like, bullheaded behavior. He's very smart, however, and what he decides to pick up he will retain throughout his life. So, there is no time spent on teaching him something again and again, instead he can move on to higher level maneuvers. This stallion likes to be kept pristine, he hates mud of any kind but loves water since that means being clean. Therefore, we bang his thick tail at his hocks to keep it from dragging in the muck. He will work in the mud if he has to, he just won't be very happy about it. He likes to make his own decisions (thankfully, it's usually the right decision since he's intelligent) and he's antsy under saddle, never standing still. Despite all of his antics and quirks this stallion is a force to be reckoned with on the eventing field. His legendary bloodlines mixed with a great mind and conformation makes him a very valuable competition horse.

Personality: Macar is a typical Arabian stallion; vain and flashy, not to mention vocal and excitable. This boy is beautiful and he knows it, constantly strutting about in his pasture, earning him the nickname of the farm peacock. This 'prettier than thou' attitude sometimes gets him into trouble, as he has a hard time paying attention to his handler when he's busy flaunting himself for the mares. He's not a fan of other stallions, although not overly aggressive, he still feels the need to defend his mares....even if they're not really his. The barn Casanova, he's a sucker for attention, soaking it up like a cat basking in sun rays. His general demeanor is sweet towards humans, although he's known to be mouthy, so watch those fingers! As far as potential goes, this stallion has it! His tendency to randomly leap like a frog under saddle informed the staff that he's more than capable of performing in jumping classes and the stamina that he exhibits makes him a perfect candidate for endurance. Although this boy is pretty, he's no halter horse, and the Silver Stone staff looks forward to showing off his true potential as a performance Arabian.

Personality: Leo is the epitome of the Spanish horse. He's stoic and sturdy, seemingly bombproof, except to his arch-nemesis, the regular cold-weather coat. Not much riles this guy up, and he's usually seen standing calmly in his stall or paddock. He's extremely duty-oriented, and will do whatever it takes to please his rider, whether that be going at a fast gallop, or a slow and collected trot. During competition he's all business and doesn't loose his head, even if other horses around him are spazzing out. Around mare's and other stallions he's been trained to be a gentleman, and doesn't bat an eyelash even if another horse is giving him dirty looks. He's still a crafty fellow, however, and has been known to open his own stall simply to go out and graze, then enter his stall once more for a nap. Leo has been trained in Spain and knows the in's and out's of traditional Spanish equitation. He moves with a fluidity and beauty that is awe-inspiring, making him a supreme candidate as another addition to our Iberian dressage horse program. Silver Stone Stables is extremely excited about this stallion and the potential that he brings.

Personality: Ben is a very wise horse who's always thinking of his rider and never himself. He always performs to the best of his ability, taking on daring acts to please his rider, despite the possibility of injury involved for himself. He's got lots of stamina and can keep pace with younger stallions, making him a strong competitor. When he gets into the show ring he's always business minded, not letting the crowd or lights ruin his concentration. Out in the pasture he's usually second in command, allowing himself to be bossed around by the lead mare. He's very good around other horses, always gentle and kind, but reinforces his position as a leader if someone challenges it. The Silver Stone staff is very excited about the chance to compete such an experienced, athletic and level headed gelding.

Personality:  Just about as suspicious as an individual can be without crying 'conspiracy!' every five minutes. She has lived her entire young life giving the world a sidelong glance. Rarely, if ever, will she travel with her head straight forward, it is always turned toward the nearest potential problem, even if that problem is the rider on her back. Crazy Daisy's good behavior falls to pieces the larger the crowd she is in and it isn't uncommon for her to work herself into a lather over it even to the point of overheating herself. She has no future as an armature's horse, but has more than enough unrefined talent in her twitchy little hide waiting to be dug out and polished off by a firm and experienced hand.

Personality: This girl is a huge (literally) push-over. She's a combination of both parent's personalities making her a wonder-horse. Alqualondë has a happy-go-lucky personality, not fretting over much. She always has to be doing something, and is often found peering over her fence, chasing animals and insects that venture into her paddock and playing with her jolly ball. She's very calm, like her father and rarely throws temper tantrums. When she does it's usually just a brief strike-out of a hind hoof.

Luna is extremely versatile and has enjoyed every western discipline that we have introduced her to. She's bred to have great cow-sense and agility, but her calm demeanor allows her to slow down enough for pleasure classes as well. We are very excited about this young mare's show career, and have high hopes for her broodmare future.
