A Filla-Ma-Loo Folly

A Filla-Ma-Loo (aka. Goofus Bird) is a very odd yet curious (and rare) creature. These things can fly backwards, built nests upside down, laying Grade D eggs and its call sounds like a clang of a Johnson bar in reverse.

This wacky bird really interests me. I have been having some moment of thinking up a perfect Goofus Bird. Three months perhaps or 5. Until yesterday, December 10th, I finally drawed it.

I was thinking of a Filla-Ma-Loo who loves horses or ponies, under the name of Phillip (since it means horse lover). And if this bird is like the Dodo from the Looney Tunes cartoons, I thought making him silly would be perfect. I don't want to make him like stupid, as you recall Patrick Star of Spongebob Squarepants (Nickelodeon and Stephen Hillenburg) and Ed from Ed, Edd, n Eddy (Cartoon Network and Danny Antonucci). More of silly like Ed and Goofy aka. Dippy Dawg of Walt Disney. And I thought it would be perfect if Phillip was mute to fit well with his personality. I plan this character's personally months before I draw him today.

As a horse loving creature, not that that would not have any intentions to portray obsessive bronies. I dare not intend to do this since I have respect to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and yet I am not crazy over it. So please take note of that. Plus, about his love for horses, you recall Ed from Cartoon Network really loves farm animals, especially chickens?
