Severus Snape watched as cold Severus Snape watched as cold droplets of rain ran down the window of his dormitory, like liquefied crystals. This, combined with his tears, blurred the trees outside until they were just a smudge of gold, fiery red, and orange.
He couldn’t bear watching the love of his life, Lily Evans, dancing outside with this mortal enemy, James Potter, but couldn’t help torturing himself.
The way they waltzed and played tag, not caring about getting drenched, Severus wished he were in James’ place. When they finally stopped under a tree and sat together, Severus pried himself away from the window and flopped onto his bed with a sigh.
As he began wiping his tears away with his sleeve, a knock came on the door. He opened it and saw Professor Slughorn, the potions teacher. He was looking at a textbook, but when he heard the door open, he glanced up.

Picnic in Hyde ParkFrom their window she stared up into the clear blue sky. It was an unusually warm day for November, perfect weather actually.  Gazing out at the busy streets of London, Rachel West couldn't help but smile recognizing some familiar faces in the midst of the crowd. It was easy to spot a brunette woman, a tall male with messy black hair, and two heads of blazing red hair making their way up the sidewalk.
"Babe, they're here!" Rachel called over her shoulder into the townhouse.
Footsteps approached the muggle from behind. Within a few seconds an arm was around her waist as she was joined at the window by her girlfriend. Hermione Granger smiled see her oldest friends has finally arrived. It had been almost a month since they all had been able to get together outside of work.  Life was hectic as the golden trio all had new adventure to carry out as young twenty somethings.
