Animation student from Wisconsin. I believe animation is the pinnacle of artistic achievement, combining every other form of art. Filmmaking, spatial and color composition, depth, acting, dance choreography and martial arts, storytelling, and music come together to create living worlds that would not exist otherwise. It has the potential to represent all aspects of humanity, and diverse representation of cultures and narrative forms is crucial. And like any kind of art, the vast majority of cartoons are worthless crap made for money.
I get a little too into the details of my characters and worlds and invent cultures and pseudo-scientific weapons and how they would work if I had even a basic grasp of science.
Also, oops, more than half of my characters tend to be women because I get along better with women than men and also men aren't as interesting to draw. Whoops sorry.
