Though game development isn't what I aspire to go into, I just came up with an idea for an adventure/RPG video game. It's somewhat inspired by Journey, but not too much.
You choose your character's past, which branches out. It's hard to explain, but there would be either 9 or 27 variables.
You discover some very important piece of information, and you need to get it across the land. You have no weapons, but the land is filled with enemies. You need to surf, swing, and slide your way to various towns, but given your character's past, different people will react positively or negatively to you, and can either help you, or hinder your progress
I am abandoning the Halo game franchise.
I've never been a fan of shooters, unless they have a deeply philosophical or mind-bending story. And Halo is just that. However, since Bungie sold it, it's become nothing more than a marketing ploy by Microsoft. Yeah, 343i has taken things from the books and expanded upon them, like puking when coming out of cryo being featured in Forward Unto Dawn.
But after reading that article... I'm most likely not getting the Xbox One.
