Cresent Moon. 2.800-4579, with story

Last night the early Crescent Moon lit up the night sky. I always try to photograph the Earth Shine reflected back to illuminate the dark side outside the Moon's bright crescent. I generally fail to capture clouds lit up by the Moon as the brightness level is so extreme. Since the sickle brightness of the Moon was so small, I was able to capture both in a single exposure. I took a variety, as the clouds sifted in front of the Moon, in essence darkening the extreme brightness range to be possible to capture both.

This is the first of four exposures I will be working on. Taken with a 180mm F2.8 Nikkor at F4.5 with an exposure of half second, at ISO 1600.
