Last Thursday (4-17-08), my order from Newegg came in. It was my new Asus 9600GT. www.newegg.com/Product/Product…
With it, I was able to max out the settings in UT2004 and still get 70-90fps in Onslaught maps. (Previous fps being 5-20, 20 if I was lucky.) I also was able to play Portal without any fps lag of any kind, as well as maxing out the settings in WoW and getting an even 60fps.
Most importantly, I was able to run Guitar Hero III (which my previous integrated GFX didn't like), and grabbed an old keyboard. I flipped the keyboard upside down and used [Insert] to strum, and I used the F1-F5 for the frets. Unfortunately, there's a space between F4 and F5 on all the keyboards I have at hand, so I can't move up to Hard or Expert (such a pain, since I beat it on medium). It's still pretty fun though, since Through the Fire and Flames is still a real challenge, even on medium.
Anyways, I would be happy, but my dad just so happened to renew his rule of a 3-hour computer time limit, which, if you're anything like me, is next to nothing (especially since that time includes computer time you use for homework -_-)
Oh, and I got a D on that English JC test. I really wasn't expecting any better.
Do you guys think I should upload a photo of me playing GHIII with a keyboard on my PC?
