Whilst uploading for my web site I realised how little traditional painting I'd done in the last five years. It's practically essential to do some tinkering on a piece once it's scanned, if only to try to recapture the vibrancy of colour that a scanner often seems to lose, but also you can take some radical liberties and see how else your painting might work, the freedom of an undo tool is very liberating. Still I'm trying to rectifying my lack of painting. I've just done a couple of portrait commissions and my Macra on the beach monster scene and Zhora from Blade Runner are all but complete. Oh and a Mire Beast from the Doctor Who story The Chase is finally done. Will I tinker with them radically? No, not too much I think, I'm happy with them as they are.

So far there are 180 images uploaded to the web site, about 40 more and it will be done, including wallpapers. The old site had about 170 in total, lots of them were below par in my opinion and those have been dropped - anything I thought had a glimmer of decency to it I have reworked. I'm hoping there are no weak links in the gallery of pics and I'll be asking for honest feedback once the site's live so that it looks the best it can - feedback on the illustrations - not the site look and layout - that's set in stone now I'm afraid!

I also found a bunch of my old artwork in a suitcase, so I'll scan that stuff and see if I can do anything interesting with it.

Something from "The Chase"? Dude! Hardly anybody likes or even _knows_ THAT one well enough to draw something from it! Sweet.
(I like it, but I'm aware I'm in the minority...)

Mire Beast and Fungoids are both done. Plus the Frankenstein monster scene.
