Saw my first Fractal in '78, and thought someone spiked my drink. I've been a Fractal Fanatic ever since, and started rendering my own with Fractint in '90 on a DX/4 100 with 4 MB ram (boy, did they take a long time to render back then!)
Got sidetracked by raising a family and have only recently began rendering again - what a difference a few generations of hardware and software makes. What once took 12 hours to finish now gets done in 4 seconds....
