I was very pleased with the way my last ace pride stamp turned out, so I decided to do another one with a few changes. This time I decided to use the Ace of Spades symbolism, and I also left the lines in the stamp.

Feel free to use if you are asexual (romantic or aromantic), or if you are an ace supporter. :)

(thank you, $zilla774 for the template)

If you don't want me to say thank you, then don't fave it. If you accuse me of not looking at your profile, I will turn right around and accuse you of not reading the artist comments.

This is a cool design! Especially since the slang is Ace! (I think we can all agree that Ace is the most bad-ass of the slang names. :XD: )

I actually saw a stamp made by someone who said, "No, you're not asexual. Just because you're a 14 year old with a low sex drive does not mean you're asexual."

It was just like, "Oh, so you know about everyone's orientations now?" Bleh, people are ridiculous. But how much credibility can they have if they have a stamp claiming people need to be open-minded and stop bashing Christians, and then make another stamp bashing Satanism, just because it's a different religion, and throwing around terrible stereotypes.

That small vent aside, I'm not asexual but this is a very nice stamp and it's pleasing to look at. I don't think there are enough of "ace" pride stamps that are available for others' use (I've only seen your stamps before I began to see others).

It's true that people can't just assume what somebody's sexuality is. (Though I do think that 14 years old is a bit too young for a person to know with any kind of certainty what their sexuality is).

On open-mindedness, I have to admit that I can't in good conscience condone Satanism (Satan being the self-proclaimed enemy of my God and all that - I hope you can understand), but at the same time, I'm not going to treat a Satanist any different than I would any other person, because despite the stereotypes, they're no less human than any of the rest of us.

I understand. Of course because of your beliefs you would have a different opinion, but he was completely uneducated declaring, "It's not SATANism if you don't worship SATAN."

Uh, yeah it is. Most forms of Satanism don't worship a damn thing, that's the point of it. "Satan" (because he's associated with sin) is the symbol of indulgence, and that's all he is, a symbol, not an idol or their god. I don't know any Satanists personally but I've seen a few here and there on the internet and they're perfectly normal, logical people who udnerstandably get annoyed when people jump to such conclusions.
He was also accusing ALL Satanists of being emo adolecent whiners and that the religion wasn't even real. Offensive much?

I just found him extremely biased because he was throwing around the "don't hate me because of my religion" phrase and then turning around and making an ignorant as hell stamp like that. I mean geez, really? How hypocritical.

Well, I think it's also important to remember that the bandwagon is a big thing on the Internet. People go through phases, and unfortunately, when it's a phase, that's when people are more crazy about it. The worst of it is that the crazy ones make up the majority of what we see on the Internet - especially here on DeviantART, where the average age is pretty young and people still aren't completely secure in their self-identities.

Take the LGBT community, for example. I don't know if you've noticed, but a pretty big group of LGBTs on DeviantART are crazy militant about it. Most of them are also middle-school and high-school age, too. On the other hand, because I'm an asexual, I identify as LGBT, but I also don't see the need to make a big fuss over it (stamps notwithstanding, and these stamps really aren't designed to be militant). I also have many friends who are gay, but you'd never know it just looking at them or listening to them talk. I think it's probably the same with most religions (which makes sense, if you think about it - it's usually the annoying, outspoken minority that people notice).

Yeah, I would identify with LGBT but I typically don't given I don't want to be part of a label, and I don't really see the point of a group about it really, though I guess it's understandable if they're keeping up with news about equality laws (such as gay marriage being made legal, finally).

Minorities really muddy up the waters of everything. :o It's very annoying.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I tend to be pretty passionate about arguing for equal rights when the subject comes up. But I'm not going to do like many people do - make an issue where one really doesn't exist. I think that's the problem. So many people take offense where none was really meant. In our age of instant gratification/entitlement, nobody takes the time to examine the intent behind what people are saying. As far as I'm concerned, political correctness needs to die a quick death. If people would just worry about being polite or showed some common sense, there wouldn't be a need to fuss about whether it's appropriate to call a person "homosexual" or "gay", or even Merry friggin' Christmas.

Ace of spades is used for aromatic asexuality whereas the ace of hearts is used for romantic.

I'm aromantic, so it seemed appropriate for me to use spades. ;)
