(Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell fan-art)
After my painting of the Raven King, another tribute to an amazing book! This time, Lady Pole and the Gentleman. I have to thank that creepy fairy guy for making me google the meaning of "thistle-down". I took revenge by painting him with flowing mermaid hair; I hope he likes it that way too, because I'm not going to make him look like a mad scientist who just discovered the funny properties of nitroglycerine
...or maybe I should. It would be a great excuse to paint more Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell fan-art. Hey, I'm really good at finding excuses!

OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING I CAN'T EVEN I SQUEALED SO LOUDLY I LOVE HIS FLOWING HAIR
I draw him with long hair too. With a long ponytail in fact! I love drawing his hair.
I love how smooth it looks! I love the eyes and the lips! So shiny! I love vivid lighting in a picture. I just love how it looks!
I love how Lady Pole's eyes are drooping down a little, so she looks extra sad, and the Gentleman's are thin and look very mischievous!
I love the thorns and the petals which are mixing with the blood, showing that the Gent is causing more harm to her by allowing her to live.
I love that the only vibrant colour is the colour red. Very nice!
I love a lot of things about this picture! I love this so much! It always gives me joy to see people drawing the Gentleman because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who currently draws him! <3well I draw him with stephen a lot
Please draw more JSAMN fanart! You are so very talented! I love the way you draw!
I apologise for fangirling so much over this...I just love The Gentleman so much. <3

Thank you very much for your compliments, fellow fangirl!
I'm very glad you enjoyed my painting. And I'm even happier to know I'm not the only one fangirling so much about that book
I don't know who my favourite character is, because I love them all so much, even Mr Norrell or the Gentleman (in his case, it's more of a love/hate thing
). Probably Childermass, Stephen or Arabella Strange... I want to draw them all, but I don't know if I will have enough time with all the other things that I want to paint ^^ I'd love to paint them in the style of those Dragon Age tarot cards I often see on DeviantArt, but I don't know how it would look in my style.
Anyway, thank you again, I'm glad to know there's at least one person who's happy with my current obsession

You're very welcome!
Oh, yay! I'm glad! I've been fangirling about this TV show/ book for 1 year now and I'm still very passionate about it!
I do love them all very much too. I love the Gentleman with the Thistle-down Hair, Stephen Black and Lady Pole the most. (The Gent being probably number one...actually definitely.)
I do like Childermass and Arabella. <3
Do what you like! I would love to see you draw them, but if you want to draw other things that's fine! You do what you want to do! <3
Go for it! You won't know unless you try!
I'm elated with your current obsession! <3 <3
I'm actually currently drawing some thistleblack fanart because I am thistleblack trash ^^"
