Many people have asked me about this subject and while I did write a small 'Pricing' section in Adoptables, Basics for Adoptables Artists, the requests have not decreased so I decided to do a Journal dedicated to it.
Pricing is a tricky art because you need to balance three things, the Price/Effort ratio, the Price/Design ratio and the General Market Price.
This is what you think you deserve to earn and the price that you would put on your adoptable if you didn't take into account the other two aspects. This takes into account mainly two things:

One of the most frequent comments I get after 'I really like your adopt' is a variation on the theme 'they are expensive'.
These comments don't bother me anymore because I take them for what they are; a statement concerning the discrepancy between the funds of the buyer and the price of the seller. It is not meant to be a request, it's not begging, it's not criticism.
However, when received enough times, especially when who's receiving these comments is a younger artist, or someone who just started out with adopts, I can understand how this comment can be taken badly, how it can make artists doubt their own worth, and this is why I decided
