If it wasn't for my love of music, I probably would have gone crazy long ago. I know a lot of musicians say that, but... I think my word has a little more weight in this case.
My name is Chelsea, and I played the flute ever since I was a little girl. I practiced every day, attempting pieces in as many different styles as I could find: concert pieces, jazz, spiritual, you name it. I was even doing some composing of my own when I joined Hoenn's premier concert band as their first chair flutist. I was about 16 then, one of the youngest girls to ever join the band, and certainly the youngest to ever sit at first chair flute. I was ecstatic for the opportunity, and started working even harder to make sure I deserved it.
In just a few months, the band had become my life. I traveled with them all across the region. My social life (what there was of it) dwindled as I filled sheet after sheet with music into the late hours of the night, and awoke in the morning to practice a
