INDIAN Indian, Indian why do I dance
In the summer rains
Chasing faces in the clouds
Looking for pergolas Leprechauns
and four-leaf clovers
Just over the hills of Dover
far faraway
Where the Angels speak in
tongues
And dreams are cast admits
the dreamer's catcher
As the ghost child of their
ancestors past
Rises from ashes of the
phoenix
As the eagle glides like a feather on
the winds wing of change
Eagle eyed
Waiting for the rains to set in
Dancer of soul, spirits rise above
in chants, enchanted by the falling
of the coming rains
In the summer skies dodging
tears in rain
As the Heavens opened up and
washed away the day
As a rainbow burst into bloom
ablaze, across the Nevada desert's
sky
And the colors all ran into one
And the sands shift in the falling
hours of the midday sun
At the end, rainbows fall
Where the Indian dances
skyward
On the tip of his arrow and the
arch of his bow
As he takes aim and arches his bow
