"That's where we'll be!"
Sorry I had to. Look at those little feet! They have to just be tip toeing around that track, and you know it x'D
Anyways, I got in the spirit for the Japan Cup to draw chibis
Because Japan.

Japan was a new world all on it's own. MJ, who would be riding WPF The Apocalypse in the 2015 Japan Cup couldn't help herself. She ran around Tokyo with a pure expression of excitement for the night life, dragging her poor boyfriend Adrian around like a rag doll. The only reason he agreed to go out with her to explore the city was to protect her in the foreign place, as he always traveled with her to ensure her safety. Back at the Tokyo Racecourse, WBS Ghost Hour and WBS Mining For Gold were settling into their stalls for the night. Ghost was stalled with WPF The Apocalypse on one side, Miner on the other, and in her stall with her was the spunky black sabino Shetland Pony, Kisses. Kisses munched on Ghosts leftover feed after finishing her own, supplying to her belly that already did not need supplying in the first place, but a round Kisses was a happy Kisses. Ghost was used to traveling to new places, so this new place was no surprise to her, and Ghost had no anxieties over the travel and change of scenery. She had a deep, sound sleep that night. The next day was composed of mostly relaxing after a quick workout on the track. As usual, Ghost seemed to be on top of herself, but had a slight hint of the unfocused behavior seen at their previous race, the 2015 Melbourne Cup. Dallas knew that this point that there was little they could do, being it was the day before race day and they were short on time. Not wanting to use up all of the white mares energy, they finished the quick workout and let her rest. The remainder of her day was spent in her stall with Kisses, or being taken on leisurely walks around the premises until it was time again for a night filed with good dinner and good sleep. Distant sounds of the city whispered through the stables, paired with the gentle breathing of horses drifting to sleep, and this gentle silence was only disturbed hours later as breakfast was served. Kisses, of course, quickly scarfed down her own feed quickly, then greedily helped herself to a belly full of Ghosts unwanted feed. Ghost didn't mind, however, and was glad to allow the other little mare to indulge in it's pleasures at the expense of her own unwanted food. Ghost was alert and attentive, ears forward and offering a soft nicker to hands who passed by, until her Dallas arrived, sending Ghost into frantic pawing and loud nickering. She was lead out of the stall willingly, prancing alongside her briskly walking owner. After a brisk brushing down, tacking up was a breeze, as usual. And with that, her jockey Abhijat made his way onto the white mares back, and settled himself. All the while, Ghost was a perfect angel, just taking in the hustle of people trickling into the grand stands like ants, and crowding around the horses with as close proximity as possible, hoping to catch of glimpse of their favorite racers.

Out of the many thousands of Race Horses bred each year, very few make their mark in the history books. WBS Mining For Gold was not one of those great horses, as he was idly drifting past the pages of the History books and nestling his way somewhere on the unimportant pages of said book. It wasn't that he was terrible.. He hadn't placed last yet, in fact, the worst he had placed was 12th in a field of 16. His other placings included an 8th in a field of 13, a 4th in a field of 7, a 3rd in a field of 7, and a 1st in a field of 5. Statistics with this show proved the smaller fields, the better. But that was undoubtedly because he was pitted against less competition then. His biggest issue was just that he was unmotivated to fight against the other horses, and inexperienced. Dallas tried to get him out more, but living in the shadow of the greater horses of White Blood Stables such as WBS Ghost Hour was difficult. With such limited trainers on staff, the less glorious horses were saved for last training sessions, often not receiving the attention they needed. And at 4 and a half years old, Miners golden years were slipping away. It seemed that he was always a hoof beat behind the great and even average horses, but that was no doubt due to the lack of proper training he was receiving. Dallas made an online ad in hopes that some of her horses would get leased out and shown the attention deserved, as even she knew of what was going on. Little interest was shown towards the palomino stallion, however. But no one could blame anyone for not wanting to take on the responsibility of an "older" race horse with little experience and motivation. If Dallas were in her right mind, she would sell the colt at a price fitting his lack of success and free up her time for more important racers at the stables. But something about this gentle, depressed stallion kept her clinging to him, and she couldn't find it in her heart to let him go, even if she wasn't the best trainer or owner for him. She knew that more trainers needed to be brought into the staff, but that wasn't her call to make at this time. Even with Ghost bringing in wins, she was still short on funds as she was single handedly funding for her expensive horses care, entry fees, and travel. At this point, she knew her other horses had the ability to go to higher places under proper training. She saw it over and over again with her own WBS Moves Like Jagger, the bay stallion who was leased to the highly active Fox Harbor Farms. Under their active training and care, he was able to place for them and rise in the ranks of TS. Dallas wanted nothing more for her little Palomino stallion, but was too selfish to send him away for good, and knew that no one would take on the responsibility knowing his issues. At this point all she could do was wish for an enlightening run today.

Today was the day, not only was it one of the last two big races of the year but it was also one of the last races that The Apocalypse would be racing with her stable. The mare would be leased out to White Blood Stables for four months. Even though Apollo will still see her old Jockey, Katalina, her current one MJ and even all the familiar people she knew and loved, it was still a big thing to everyone but everyone knew she would be in loving hands for these long months and hopefully continue to bring home prizes and stay within 4th. Even with these two races, they were very happy and content with this constant 4th place, it wasn't too low and she was still very much in the top. Currently she had a first, third and even a couple seconds along with fourth places. The mare was doing amazing considering her aggression towards other horses and even humans. The Apocalypse was being lead to the gates by one of the walkers, MJ high on her back and examining their surroundings by now, she has grown use to Apollo and learned to move with her whenever she spooked or tried to go after another horse. Like all the previous races before this one, Apollo was chomping at the bit and fighting the person that lead them, her tail active and ears constantly moving. She was unusually calm this time around but it didn't raise any concerns, the mare was more an likely focused on getting into the gates than the other contestants who walked by. Thankfully she's been racing along side the same horses the entire year, so everyone has learned to keep their distant and not be so close to Apollo. The only mare who dared to get so close was WBS Ghost Hour, the only mare who was able to get Apollo's trust and be close to her without getting seriously injured. It was amazing how this white mare had such control under this devil. It was yin and yang, an angel vs a fallen angel. It was truly captivating how Apollo accepted this white mare and allowed for her to get away with so much. Apollo watched as TLEC Quiet Fellow was lead into the gates and then followed behind him was The Gremlin, last but not least was The Apocalypse. Just like all the times before, the mare began to dance and do little rears as she was lead towards the gates, her tail swishing and ears pinned back. She yanked and pulled, fighting the bit and the hands that held her in place. Tossing her head, she pranced into the gates, her head lifting up high and ears pinning back as she tried to look over the paneling. The metal paneling slammed shut behind her, causing her to do a small rear within the tiny box with MJ on her back. The young woman hunkered down and kept close to Apollo's neck and withers, collecting the reins and gathering a hold of her mane, she prepared for the transition from a stand still to a full gallop. Everything fell silent between the two, the noises of horses and crowds being drowned out as the two focused on the green turf ahead of them, Apollo was still very much dancing in place but much more slowly. A few minutes past and then BANG, the gates slammed open and the horses lunged out of the gates, tails flared and head risen.
