we got third.. out of three. We would have gotten first, too, if there was a bg!!

Jen walked quickly to greet her daughter, who had finnished her rening class. Jen was leading Slinger to ready for the Pole Bending class. She smiled when she saw her daughter. "Kayla!" She waved at her and the mare with the roman nose. BB had her head up and was breathing excitedly, her ears pricked and alert. She had never been so lively looking. Kayla smiled and led BB over to her mom then hugged her and they both found eachother crying. "You were so beautiful!" Jen sobbed, "So beautiful and grown up!" Kayla, wiping her own tears with her sleave then finding a way out of the hug, smiling, laughed a little, "Mom... its okay. Its okay. How did I do?" Kayla sniffled one last time then Jen seemed to glow with pride. "You did amazing, Kayla. Im so proud, you and Ugly Betty are so perfect for eachother."
BB looked over at Slinger, who also had his head up and the same alertness in his ears, but wasnt breathing as hard or nearly sweaty. He was clean and groomed until his grullo coat shined with a dark luxuious gleam. The stallion nickered softly to the mare, who in turn, was silent and rubbed her roman nosed-head on Kaylas back affectionately, making a "murr" noise. Kayla turned around and stroke her mares face delecately, "I know where perfect for eachother, and its okay if we dont win because.. god, I had a blast!" She laughed.
Jen strained to hear the loud speakers but got the message, "Were up, wish me luck! Dont forget to give Ugly Betty a good wash down and grooming." She kissed her daughters head and Kayla wished her luck, waved, then led BB away. Jen gave a deep sigh, it had been so long since she had evented, and this would be Slingers first. She hoped everything would go through smoothly.
