After her pregnancy, WBS Ghost Hour had spent a few months with her foal while ground manners and basic foal training were taken part with the colt. After weaning, Ghost was thrust back into training. Even though she had raced a few times during her early pregnancy, they cut her off from even training afterwards. It wasn't until now that she was beginning her usual routine again. They trained her for a good amount of time before race day, trying to get her back in shape. However, she was far from at the top of her game after her pregnancy. She was booked for another breeding in the near future at an undisclosed date, so they wanted to get her out more before she would start the motherhood process all over again and miss out on the opportunities to race once again. She seemed out of sorts today, crying out, most likely in search of her colt, and working herself up. Dallas was torn between Ghosts emotional and physical needs. Ghost was a race horse through and through, but now she was also a mother. And even Dallas didn't know what that was like, but her heart ached for her white mare. It is supposed to be normal for horses, she thought. And maybe the separation one day would be normal, but this was Ghosts first foal, so all of this must be new to her as well. Ghost was 5 years old now, and Dallas didn't know how much longer her career as a race horse would last. She found in Ghosts 4 year old career that finding races for even that age were difficult, let alone finding a race for an even older horse, such as Ghost. Dallas found comfort in thinking about their affiliates stallion, Sunday Memory, who even as an older race horse found it in him to continue his career despite his age. She watched the stallion as his jockey Colton Jones mounted and headed off. It was time for her mare to do the same. Dallas didn't know what new crazy and exciting things the near future held for her and her prized mare, but only time could tell.
