When the White Blood Stables staff arrived at Monmouth Part Racetrack, they unloaded their star mare WBS Ghost Hour and walked her around the grounds to let her stretch her legs after their journey to New Jersey. She was her usual self- curious, alert, and of course wanting to get in the personal space of every other horse she saw. Dallas had to keep a heavy hand on the mares lead rope to keep her from sticking her nose where it didn't belong. After running in the Triple Crown Races, Dallas felt like there wasn't much left for her friendly little filly to accomplish. Come next year she would be a 4 year old, and too old to enter the races again. She wished that she had spent more time racing her filly prior to the races, and maybe she would have had a better shot at winning the Triple Crown. Unfortunately, Ghost had entered the Kentucky Derby as only her 4th ever race- only her 2nd in her 3 year old career- and placed 4th. Though Ghost's shot at the Triple Crown was lost, Dallas did not give up on the filly and Ghost went on to win the Preakness against the undefeated TLEC Such A Classic. However, she had a very bad start at the Belmont, and though she regained her lead during the race, Ghost did not have the energy left to keep her lead, and began falling back, claiming 3rd that day. 

The Haskell Invitational would be her 14th race, and some time had passed since her last major race runs. However, Dallas had plans on entering her in the Breeders Cup at the end of the year to round up Ghosts 3 year old career. Though she lost her chance at the big races, she still placed favorably, and was far from talent-less. She was the jewel of the Racing division at White Blood Stables, and the staff still continued to enjoy watching the filly race, even if she did not make history as a Triple Crown Winner. Dallas paused in her thoughts to stroke the mares neck and gaze into her left eye, which was a stunning half blue, half brown... a mutation by chance, no doubt, as she did not carry the splash gene. Dallas did have her vision tested, and the filly was not partially blind in any way. Though beautiful, the splash of blue did leave Dallas uneasy about her fillies future health. She kissed Ghosts cheek and continued in her thoughts as they walked, Ghost enjoying the scenery and occasionally letting out a loud whinny to let her presence be known. Ghost was rising in the ranks of her registries, already far into the top Legendary rank at the Jockey Club, as well as far into the top Four Star rank at H-I-E-F, and the first ever registered World Class rank in the Thoroughbred Society. She was gaining in ranks at HARPGs-Best-Foals, too, registered as a Top Foal, one level below the highest rank- Hall Of Fame. Dallas couldn't believe how proud she was of her little filly, and was certain Ghost would have a bright future... no matter how the race ended today. Ghost gave a snort and seemed to finally relax as they headed to the stalls.
