This was created for Chaosium's 'Petersen's Abominations' (available here at the time of writing: www.chaosium.com/petersens-abo…). It was, without compare, my favourite image to create for the book. I was commissioned to draft a map to support a scenario where the characters attend a party at a house in the modern era. I wanted the image to be useful as both a handout for the Investigators, and for the Keeper to imagine and describe the scene. So, after some consideration, and perhaps controversially, I decided to map the location as a FOR SALE leaflet that could be found lying around the house when the PCs visited, legitimately giving the Keeper a reason to hand the entire map to the players without breaking immersion. And I got to draw an image quite unlike anything I normally draw. Fun. Especially because I got to create a logo and name for the fictional company selling the house, and I had the opportunity to do some laying out for a change.
The only thing I would change is the use of the font for the hand-written text I created to contextualise the image, but it needed to be editable for foreign translations, so it was the best solution.
This was created for Chaosium's 'Petersen's Abominations' (available here at the time of writing: www.chaosium.com/petersens-abo…). It was fun building an image that had that dated feel, although all those mountains and glaciers took an absolute age to put in place. So, so many little lines.
Ah, this stretched-skin map was a joy to put together for the ever-brilliant Shadow of the Demon Lord RPG. It was particularly fun to use the character-sheet layout from the game as the basis for the summoning circles in the top-right section.
