 it's January, so it's the beginning of my Sakura making season. ^_^ This one is a smaller design... you can see it in my friend's hair here:
Wedding White Mini Sakura Comb in Hair by hanatsukuri

All silk means it's easy to fold, and a lovely crisp finish. I made it with tsumami zaiku techniques, which is a Japanese way of folding silk into flowers one petal (square~) at a time. Sounds like origami, right? Similar! But we use glue, since fabric won't hold still otherwise. :giggle: Check out this group :icontzartisans: if you'd like to find a couple of tutorials.

I can remake the design for you from etsy too:Etsy Social Smiley  www.etsy.com/listing/162229447… Etsy Icon ultramini  so feel free to support my art if you'd like.

:giggle: I love that reaction. it completely depends on what country I'm in though, for the cuteness of the boxes. It's pretty hard to find cute boxes...or any boxes, really, that aren't corrugated cardboard, and aren't jewelery boxes, in the U.S.A. i'm always at a loss for the "regular kanzashi" size boxes. This little silver one is from the U.K. I think I just mailed off the last of them, too, sadness. ^^

I know that feeling. I recently was overjoyed that I found some damask patterned organza bags to ship off jewelry in. :D
