Cream and Silver Lotus for Wedding. Hana Kanzashi

This is a suitable wintery kanzashi, don't you think? It's all cream and silver! :)

This one is for a bride whose wedding dress is a silk charmeuse with gauze layers on top of it for a very etheral look... so we used cream charmeuse and layered it with silk chiffon. :nod: I think it looks very well....

What did you do to make it silvery?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that! It's a special kind of guache paint-- it's a metallic silver that I added "fabric medium" to to get it to stick to the silk. It winds up being like the silver or gold flecks they have on kimono, but a lot more controlled on this end.
