Betty Boop picture for The Autumn Society of Philadelphia's upcoming "Golden Age of Comics and Animation" art show.

For the inspiration, I used the earliest Betty Boop design by Grim Natwick. That's the character design seen in the first few Betty Boop cartoons ("Mysterious Mose" for example).

Betty Boop (C) King Features Syndicate, Inc. / Fleischer Studios, Inc.

Well that's a fine homage to the pre code Betty Boop shorts. Yes, the people of Fleischer Studio where a creative bunch when it came to the operation of making cartoons.

This drawing is like a perfect blend of the Fleischer and Spumco styles.

Oh, and Jippo here! How sweet! I guess someone is going to have his teeth removed or tonsils grown. ha-ha... Koko’s ink drop looking like an ambryo, dead candle—everything in this picture is awesome!

Really love the movement, expressions and color (or lack thereof) of this piece. Truly spooky and wacky all at the same time!

Thank you! :) I'm very much inspired by those old black & white cartoons from '30s, and their combination of spooky and wacky stuff.

This is just fantastic.
This is, in my opinion, these are the Fleischers' best films, as well as their Popeye's and you captured all the fun and craziness and added your own twist. I really love ths!
I also love how Koko is starring at Betty
