Even if I prefer the George Pal's version about the Time Machine, I prefer clearly that one.

I love Georges version too, i went with this as a 3d project since it is more intricate in design.

Are you using an AO pass as well? It looks really good.

Thanks man, no i didnt use AO, just final gather and GI, i think its the soft shadows that have given it that effect in some of the renders.

For the amount of detail you're doing, AO will definitely make all that modeling pop. The pass is really fast and easy to do.
