Lunar Rover - Downloadable 3D Model With Textures

HIGH RES PREVIEW - PLEASE FULL VIEW

So, it is done at last, since my attempt to share it with Cebas FinalRender textures was a dismal failure, now completely re-textured from scratch with max's standard textures, it could have looked better with other textures, but i set-up standard ones this time to maximise compatibility with other renderers. Though the scene file is set to use mental ray i doubt you will have to re-texture if you switch to any other renderer.

Preview shots are from the file included, and you will find the model fully textured with all required maps included in the .RAR download. (Download button to the right, above the thumbnails)

Though i tried to stay as close to the look of the original LRV as possible, a lack of good reference images means this is at best only a good likeness of the original, and not really accurate in a scientific sense.

Your welcome to use it for free, so long as you credit me as this models maker when publishing any work containing it.

Have fun, and please show me your renders.

Oh also in case you missed it i also shared this model recently:

What a wonderful build! Detailed like crazy and great textures, and you are sharing the whole thing too! Great work, my sir! Clap
I noticed you had .obj files available for your time machine model (another excellent piece). If it's alright, could you do the same for the rover too? There is no way to convert .max files for us users not using 3ds max so we are kind of stuck :) (Smile)

Superb work on the model & scene. Any chance since I can only run max 2010 on my old puter to get it in .obj format?

Always a pleasure, though this in particular does belong in the public domain, i hope people do lots of nice scenes with it for us all to see :)

Nice work. I remember watching them drive these on the moon back in the day.
